Denial of Service attacks caused outtages in Hostaan services

Update: All operations resumed back to normal on Monday 15.1.2024 by 5 pm.

DOS ( Denial-of-Service) attacks on some of the Hostaan servers have hindered the operation of our services on Monday, Jan 15, 2024. We are applying preventive measures and aim to resumer normal operations as soon as possible.

The denial of service attack has so far targeted our fi4 and fi24 servers during the day, and because of this, the websites in question may have been slow or unresponsive, or access to Plesk control panel or webmail services have been blocked. However, there have been no email losses, but some messages may arrive with a delay.

In denial-of-service attack, an external entity congests the server's network connections with external malicious traffic, resulting in service slowdowns and interruptions. However, the security of our servers have not been compromised at any point, and the attacker has no access to the servers.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the attac to our customers and we are working full-time to ensure the normal operation of our services as well. This situation bulletin will also be updated accordingly, if the matter requires new actions from our side.
